Language acquisition should be an exciting discovery, not a frustrating struggle.  I engage English language learners by building on their life experiences.  My instructional materials are built around core vocabulary and skills, which give my students experiences of competence and mastery from the outset.  Exemplary outcomes validate my teaching.
